This Registered English
Shire stallion has the most registered progeny appearing in the Canadian
Shire Horse Association’s studbooks. Although never shown, he has produced
some of the finest mares in Canada as can be seen in the Gentle Giant
herd, owned by Blake and Fran Anderson.
He was bred by Thomas Smrt in Chicago and imported at an early age to
Canada. He will be 17 years old this year and is still the active Senior
stallion on our ranch. Any knowledgeable Shire breeder will recognize the
famous lineage of Ladbrook Aristocrat (his sire) and his dam, Fox Valley
Galina out of Rhyd-Y-Goes Premier King
